I wouldnt read too much into him playimg at u23. It isnt a massively intense game and he is just as likely playing for fitness. It does show he isnt having a medical but doesnt prove he is miles off signing. I wouldnt be surprised at all if we have sanctioned this appearance and he signs early next week.
