Just been reading that the new home short is the ‘fastest selling in the clubs history’ and there’s still a backlog of orders.

Ties in with the general good felling and mood around the place we’ve been seeing on this thread ( and the fact it’s the first decent one for a few years…)

I honestly hope the majority are children's sizes, they're our future and need to feel the pride of wearing that shirt.

The Mag protest groups all totally miss the point that they're depressing their kids by making them feel deprived and inferior.

We now have the advantage because the entire club, from top to bottom, feels great.

It doesn't matter to a 10 year old if we're playing great football in the PL or the 3rd Division ... a win is a win is a win is a win.

I took my lads to their first game at Barnsley and they were smitten by the amazing Sunderland support and the scenes when we scored.

People they'd never seen before were hugging them, tossing them in the air and telling them what great lads they were.

What joy is there at SJP when the supporters whinge continually and hate the club/manager/owner ...

... I'll guarantee the kids going to school after the Wycombe/Southampton games were those with red & white in their viens.

Haway the little lads & lasses, have pride in your history, your family and your club.

My sons 1st game was Barnsley. He was about 5 yrs old. We got beat 2-3 and he was up out of his seat given it the V's to their fans. Obviously gets that from his mothers side. Still it got him hooked.

If AOB can keep up the finishing that we saw at Blackpool he'll definitely be an asset.

Great attitude and team player already.
Possibly disappointed that he is not playing on a regular basis and at his age feels he has to be starting games , don’t mind AOB and value him as a squad player who can chip in with goals , very surprised LJ was willing to let him go out on loan as I would not think his wages would be massive . Come on AOB try and force your way in to the team .

Did we deliberately delay the paperwork? Donny couldnt get Grigg so then came in for AOB. Proved at Blackpool with the right service he will score goals.

The bairns first season ticket game was the Charlton home game in L1 a few years ago. Cheer Goochy lad; you got him hooked. <laugh>
Had him to Rochdale for his first away game that season; cheers Honeyman lad for the late winner. <laugh>

Its interesting all the other managers quoting how tough it is competing for transfers, they nearly all mention us, nothing much came from Johnson, I like him

Agreed, I pop on the mags board for a bit banter and all they have is that they're in the prem.
They either don't get it or they're jealous :D

The lad has supported us from an early age and no push from me.
It's all man u and LFC down here but he's hooked regardless where we are

Peacock Farrel is terrible mind despite his reputation. And Wing had the worst pass completion rate in the championship last year.

good side tho
peacock-Farrell is awful. There’s a reason he keeps dropping down the pecking order wherever he goes
One goal conceded in 6 games and a penalty save. These comments haven't aged well <laugh>

NUFC had this advantage during the Keegan years. We lost a generation of supporters to them. The tide has turned and Smug is spot on, it's very little to do with which league or what superstars, its much more to do with positivity and the buzz a young'un gets. People sacking off the Papa Johns and other cups where a cup romance can happen miss the point of young supporters getting hooked and becoming lifelong advocates for the SAFC brand and future. The kids are the future of the football club, we shouldn't forget it, and we should try and promote positivity whenever and wherever we can. FTM
