The way I see it is this, and this is only in my opinion. Other clubs know we're minted, so behind the scenes, it'll be like a game of chess. We will be quoted absolutely stupid prices for players (Grigg), so we will have to hold out until the clubs taking the piss realise its not going to happen and ask for realistic fees and probably at the 11th hour.
He wouldn’t be missed if we had no strikers. I’d genuinely rather give an under 18 or a centre half a game up front.
I agree. And we have 4 weeks to hold out and get them until the end of the window. The season won't be won or lost in the first month so time is on our side.

I posted yesterday saying we could be buying him outright. LJ wording he used after Tranmere, "he's under contract at Liverpool so wouldn't be right talking about it" if it's a loan you'd not say that.
Don't think it's us buying him in all honesty. Think it's a decision that his contract might get paid up then we sign him on a contract. But aye , money will be changing hands somewhere to get it sorted, just depends which bank account it comes from lol.
Be an exciting signing. Young lad who had a load of potential. Sometimes these lads make the big move too early. Just need to drop back down a level to rediscover their form.
Completely agree, if he signs lets hope he comes good, as well as us having a good player it would also be a cracking advert for 'the plan' along with maybe making kids think twice about wanting to leave us when a top club comes alomg knowing they may now have better chance here of reaching the top post development
People go on about Grigg, if he goes, we only have Stewart as the one recognised striker!...... Grigg has never contributed as a striker in the whole time ha has been here
I'd expect the club are doing everything possible to get Grigg out and I doubt he has much interest in staying. Donald really lumbered us there, not just with an ineffective player but with a high basic wage and a contract that's keeping him clinging on. I'm also sure we're looking at strikers, we've know about Wyke's departure long enough.
Saw somewhere we were going to pay 75k, can't remember where. Maybe that's just signing on/agents fees side of it.
