I don't mind people having a different opinion. Thats fine and I've been called worse over the road and in real life so no offence. I have supported us for decades rather than years. Remember bad days at Roker, we've seen record points low's, twice and back to back relegations before being further ruined by the chuckle brothers selling our future and thats mearly scratching the surface of SAFC history.
With that in mind I'm amazed we're as supportive as we are. I'm a season ticket holder and have been for many years. I want the best for the club as many do. I can only praise where its due and sadly our recruitment team haven't earned praise just yet.
For balance KLD has done well, improving facilities and getting concerts back. I'm sure they will be adding to both as we go along. We've also added to u23's (hopefully not just squad fillers to patch the damage done as mentioned above) but as we'll all agree the most important part of a club is the 11 first team players, which even the head coach isn't happy with right now.
I think most supporters (even those deemed toxic) just want a team to be proud of and a winning side to get us back to championship (which i'd view as basecamp, the lowest acceptable position for our club). I could take championship for a few seasons if you could see progress with youth/recruitment and around the club but being in league one is just not acceptable and embarrasing for the fanbase.
As supporters we can only hope things go our way and we all want a successful SAFC but we do need to debate everything during the season (its what forums are for) and I expect to hear all views positive and negative.
