Gone quiet on the Chris Martin front, fake news you reckon? You'd think we'd want the deal done before the trip to Germany.
Queens Park Rangers are reportedly still interested in signing West Ham United striker Jordan Hugill on loan next season.
The 26-year-old only arrived in east London six months ago for a reported £10m fee from Preston North End, but managed just 22 minutes of first team football during the second half of last season.
Football.London understands that Hugill was brought in just in case the Hammers were relegated last season but as they avoided the drop, Hugill is not likely to be part of new manager Manuel Pellegrini's thoughts for the new season.
With the arrivals of Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko coupled with Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic still being at the club, it might be in Hugill's best interest to seek a summer exit in order to play regularly in 2018/2019.

Links to the Hoops have cooled down in recent days as Leeds United are said to be monitoring his situation, but according to the Sun, Hugill is still wanted by the Loftus Road outfit so it just remains to be seen if the two London clubs can reach an agreement before transfer deadline day next month.

Can only think the coin we are offering is extremely moderate to say the least.

Grant Hall was a key player for QPR before his injury
QPR assistant manager John Eustace says Grant Hall is making good progress despite not yet being ready to return to action.
Hall, who missed most of last season because of a persistent knee problem, had surgery in February and has been involved in training since the squad returned for pre-season.
The defender has not featured in any of Rangers’ four recent friendlies, but Eustace has insisted Hall’s comeback is on track.
“He’s doing brilliantly. He’s dipping in and out of training and his fitness levels are coming on,” Eustace said.
“We’re delighted to have him back because obviously he’s a top player at this level.
“We’re not sure when he’ll be able to play in a competitive game but he’s joining in training and is working his socks off.
“We’re not going to rush him, because he’s been out for so long. When it’s time for him to start playing in the first team we’ll be putting him in.”

He’d be a cracking signing but prem clubs tend to want full wages paid and a fee for this sort of deal. No chance of that.
Thank god he didn't get a word in hedgeways in the cup. Hopefully everyone outside of QPR has forgotten him.
Would rather we’d signed a young Joanna Lumley in her prime, however, l’ll settle for this one.
We seem to be signing more coaching related staff, then players!

QPR have appointed Aaron Harris as the club’s new head physiotherapist.
Harris joins Rangers after spending 11 years as head academy physiotherapist at Tottenham.
Rangers’ club doctor, Imtiaz Ahmad, has been given the role of head of medical services, replacing Matt May, who has joined Cardiff City.
Dr Ahmad – also formerly of Tottenham – will take an overseeing role as part of a new set-up.
The previous set-up was criticised by Tony Fernandes on the Open All R’s podcast in April, during which he bemoaned the club’s frequent injury problems.
Harris joins the former Tottenham contingent at Loftus Road, which includes director of football Les Ferdinand and technical director Chris Ramsey and has previously included the likes of academy bosses Richard Allen and Perry Suckling.
“Aaron is a highly qualified individual who was really well respected at Tottenham and his arrival is a big plus for us,” Ferdinand told QPR’s website.

Seems a very sensible appointment, despite the expanding of the Tottenham ‘crew’ (which I’m not complaining about, they have been a very professional outfit over the last 10 years). We do seem to have had more than our fair share of injuries - and to expensive players along the way too, which has a huge impact on our capabilities. Good to see us improving our back room team.
That said... anyone concerned about our lack of signings to date? Surely we are not depending on all youngsters to fill gaps. I, for one, am still concerned about our defensive line; we have had one centre back in, with Hall still not fit and Furlong carrying a recurring knee injury. We are all looking for another creative midfielder and does Eze fill that additional forward or do we need another?

This has been rumored for a while and would be a decent addition by all accounts.....
Furlong ruled out for 3 months with knee injury.......at least there's time to get a replacement in with Kakay moving up the ranks to fill that place.

Apparently Trent Sainsbury posted a pic of his passport wrapped around a boarding pass. Could be the ‘management’ escalated this after knowing about Furlongs operation. Seems the right sort and needs to kick-on his career after a bit of a pause in his career in China. Could be a mutually beneficial move, hopefully we can get him in and paired up with Leistner and the defensive line quickly.
