Jordan Rhodes has gone from Sheff Wed to Norwich on loan.........bet he's not cheap (pun not intended)
I saw that our mate Hughes has seen fit to spend £13.5m on a goalkeeper who has had one mediocre Championship season.
Rhodes on loan for £1.5m and his extortionate wages. Grabban for a fortune at his age. Glad we aren’t involved in it any more.

Watford he is also spending £18m on a defender from Germany. Same old Hughes.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think he did/could spend any crazy fees in his time with us. Just wages and lack of sell-on (as well as being ****e players) were the issues. He bought a lot of dross at Stoke towards the end.
Gunn gone for that ridiculous money simply because he was at Man City and for some reason it appears to be taken as read that these are top quality players despite him being bang average at Norwich last season. Same as Johnstone going from Man Utd to West Brom for what £8m despite him never playing for them and being okay at Villa last season........
The more one thinks about the money we got for Smithies the more one can't help but think that once again we've been done.........

You know what I mean Watford. He is spending again loans/buys it's still money.
Yeah I’m not disagreeing. Just odd that for all our expensive mistakes, I think Samba is our record signing at about £12m and don’t remember many at more than £3m or so.
Samba was really odd...he came for 12.5million, he went 6 months later for 12 million...
ALL it cost us were his wages for 6 months...ALL!!!! (£100, 000 a week ...so probably only 2.5 MILLION)
And the collective rise in our BP in watching an overweight, out of condition, hulk run around and nearly kill himself with the small amount of exertion he did in our cause

...I amended my original post too, when I found out his 6 months wages amounted to 2.5MILLION...you could get a Conor Washington for that.
Once you take into account ‘arry’s cut, we lost £10m.
Amend that please don’t forget Rosie’s cut so roughly another £ 1.5 mill !!!
