Very underwhelming imo Wells Hemed Cameron If that’s as good as it gets then it’s upsetting to me. But time will tell Why he couldn’t of got these players in July ? We had to wait until these players were discarded and were unwanted by other clubs imo. I get a brief insight from friends No other club wanted these players is the truth of the matter and all of a sudden fans are running around with renewed hope and instant faith ... not me I’m afraid Wigan were a lot better than us ... a lot better I am sorry to say having the summer to prep I still find this totally unacceptable for a West London Club
No, we can still sign players on a one for one basis with a maximum of 75% ( I think it's 75% but haven't looked it up. )based on the outgoing player. So for instance, if we sold Luke Freeman for £1 m and he was on £10,000 a week - We could sign another player or players up to £750,000 and pay him or them no more than £7,500 a week. If we loan a player out we can loan another player in paying him up to 75% of the outgoing player's wages.
As we saw with Washington we can get rid of players whenever we want, simply by cancelling their contract. I assume we can’t get a replacement in these circumstances though. Even for Sylla, where an adequate replacement would be a lump of wood which the ball hits occasionally and goes in the net sometimes.
In view that we cannot sign players in January; what happens if the club wants to extend Rangel's contract? Is this something we can do without fear of any penalty? Also, with the window now closed, if for example McLaren decided he wanted to sign someone like James Collins for example, a player not attached to any club are we allowed to do so? Sheff Utd have also signed Martin Cranie who was without a club (and they have no FFP fines / restrictions imposed upon them), but is this something we can do? Just picking up on 999's clarity for Jan loans.
According to Sky Sports, Steven Caulker has left Dundee (already) to seek a new challenge. CAULKER LEAVES FOR 'NEW CHALLENGE' Steven Caulker has left Dundee. The club say the defender has "triggered a release clause in his contract to leave before the end of the transfer window in search of a new challenge." Where could he be heading?
Possibly, it maybe one of the reasons Sylla and Freeman weren't sold as it gives us some flexibility in the January window. We can also sign any under 23 players as long as they're not promoted to the first team this season.
Sylla and Freeman:That makes an awful lot of sense 999s Gives us some room for wiggle in January...Great point
We can still sign players who are out of contract. As for Rangel, I'd imagine you'd have an odd situation where he would be the one for one. Rangel would be the player leaving and we could re-sign him at 75% of his current wages depending on the circumstances of his loan agreement. I find this odd, the transfer window closed on Friday and this has happened today ... And here's a list of free agents ... https://footballfragmento.wordpress.com/2018/08/13/free-agents-august-2018/
Just read that any signings would have to be a free transfer, we can't pay for players unless they're under 23. I was under the impression that we could pay for players at a maximum of 75% of the outgoing player's transfer fee. It would seem that's not the case. https://www.football.london/queens-park-rangers-fc/qpr-ffp-transfer-embargo-explained-14958846
