Nine weeks to get things sorted. Rumours building as always. Dykes will be a loss for his industriousness around the pitch but we are desperate for a greedy goalscorer - especially if we lose our goals from other areas of the pitch. C’est la vie.
All feels a bit grimm tbh. Think Dykes will be a big miss, he lacks for goals but it'll be hard to replace his endeavour.

Yes, the market for Championship players has sunk since we bought him. On the other hand he is now an experienced Championship player which he wasn't when we bought him, plus he is pretty regularly Scotlands no 9. A striker too if not a prolific goal scorer, so if we can get more than one interested upper level Championship/ lower level PL Club bidding for him we could make a decent profit.
Seems a perfect fit for him. Playing for the Scotland squad. Adoration of the fans. Already lived there before. Knows the manager. Sometimes all the pieces fit together.

I think there was talk some time back that the Mole wanted him.
As you say, if we can make a profit, that would be good............ just hope we can replace him.
