2 more years on Hayden’s contract. He is apparently on £22k a week. No chance of him getting that, let alone more than that, with us. If they can’t offload him over the summer might be a chance of another loan. Or if Newcastle terminate his contract, allegedly possible, and pay him off he might compromise on wages for us. I’d take him, very good player at this level. But no time to waste dicking around on ‘will he, won’t he’ stuff.

Enjoy Chrissy Willock. When the planets are aligned and there is an x in the month he can be outstanding. Rest of the time he is very nervous about his hamstrings.

It is typical journo total bollocks. Our highest earner is Ramsey, a senior international. He is said to be on £25/30k pw plus a share of revenue from shirt sales and other endorsements. Willock is not in the same league so £10/11k pw max.
