I am confident that our defence will be fine against man united. I do however worry about our threat up front. Rodriguez, Lambert, Lee, Sharp, Mayuka and Guly are all talented players but when the going gets tough we will struggle to provide a serious threat against them unless we approach it like Everton did and simply hoof the ball up the field (a tactic Adkins is not a fan of) I think the only way we tackle this problem is if we put our remaining transfer budget into signing Heskey.

Heskey's signing for West Ham. They intend to play an innovative formation in which Andy Carroll sits on Heskey's shoulders, thus providing them with an unstoppable aerial threat.

An interesting idea. If he signs Crouch, he has the ultimate substitution threat of Crouch on Coles shoulders. They will be an unbeatable combination of power, lust and desire.
 
One of the guys that used to be in Artful Dodger(music + writes music) says a Barca CB (Fontas) is joining us. <laugh>

As well as Ramirez, we are hoping to introduce another player tomorrow. We have a couple of guys on stand-by if that doesn't come off.

We're once again, rather confident we will get our man.

This seems like a fairly risk-free guess to me. It's got all the requisite qualities: vagueness, a disclaimer suggesting it may not come off...

Basically it offers nothing of value at all. Fair?

Rough translate was

Probably a load of rubbish but you never know.
 
Right, Del Piero is not coming. I've never heard that at any time.

The player in question is defensive. Foreign. Seems a rather cultured player. Could certainly do with him.

We have an English back-up should it fail.
