Thought he was decent at MK Dons, but he's gone downhill since leaving them. A decent couple of seasons at Barnet certainly doesn't mean he's good enough for Portsmouth.
 
Unhappy we didn't have any new players by the time Saints went to France. They'll have missed an important part of preseason by the time anyone joins. Definitely given up on Buttner now...he would surely have joined them sur le continent.

Who said that? FWIW Clyne's agent expected the deal to go through today. Reading's supposed interest hasn't been backed up with any actions from their club, so either that's bullshit or they're looking elsewhere now. That is all I'm adding today on Clyne.
 
If Buttner doesn't sign, I won't be particularly disappointed. I'm sure there are plenty of other viable targets who would be just as good.

Buttner's a good prospect, but I agree there are others out there who would be as good.
