I'd like him on our team as a player but £5m for a 31 year old who will be on a sizeable wage for a few years is a risk.

Unless I haven't back read this thread enough, Wayne Bridge has signed a season long loan at Brighton. Poyet is pleased, apparently. I wonder if Bridgey is..?

Bridge is past his best - so hilarious to see the Brighton fans creaming themselves on their forum.

Two good signings today! I think we're likely to get at least three more during this window.

I understand that Brighton have a pre-season friendly with Chelsea. Sure Bridge is looking forward to that.

Good signing. Should provide decent competition for Cork and Morgan.

Davis, Forecast, Richardson, Butterfield, Fonte, Hooiveld, Seaborne, Fox, Harding, Dickson, De Ridder, Guly, Puncheon, Chaplow, Davis, Cork, Morgan, Hammond, Lallana, Lee, J-Rod, Sharp, Lambert, Barnard, Forte. Unless I've missed anyone out, I count that as exactly twenty-five players. So for every extra person that we sign from here on in - and Buttner would appear to 99% done - one of those twenty-five will have to make way.

Forecast and Forte are clearly the two obvious ones. I don't think anyone is expecting or hoping or even just suggesting that they'll be given a go in the PL. On top of them, I'd say there's probably up to another, maybe, nine players who one could make an arguement for letting go.

Barnard, Forte, Harding, Forecast, Seabourne, Dickson, possibly Butterfield, for me, would be wasting space in the 25 and should not be included.

seaborne's place really depends on if we are after 1 or 2 cbs, I would not be overly worried if he were 4th choice

Well unless we sign two keepers, I think Forecast will be named as our 3rd keeper. I expect Harding and Butterfield to make the 25 as well.

Let's see... I predict we'll sign GK, CB, RB and RM. Cut Forte, Barrnard, Dickson and Seaborne.

Feel bad for some Everton fans. Signng Naismith, Rodallega, Pranjic and Pienaar and thinking they're not going to sell Leighton Baines.

Still... not convinced on Rodallega but otherwise some very nice signings.

That's some team if they can keep Baines though...

It'd be deliciously ironic if Everton have a **** season now that they've made all these signings, after having so many good seasons having made so few signings.
