For people banging on about the transfer fee being too big for a non-PL player (and there appears to be a large number of non-Saints fans on Twitter questioning our wisdom), well it's not as if £6 million is unheard of.

So where does he fit in our system? For me, I can see him playing beyond Lambert, as Barnard often did and Lee has done. It really does give us flexible options. The 4 strikers are different but complementary types.
Is it sad that one of the main reasons I'm happy (other than because we've signed a brilliant player) is that I don't have to bother signing him on FM any more?

£8m rising to £12m, you're both right. Ridiculous price though, didn't think he was ever worth it. He's almost scored 10 though - he's only 9 off!

To be fair he has looked really good this year and is 19 so dont think 12mil is insane probably worth 10
Fantastic news and now we can wait for a top signing for our centre backs and midfield. Goalkeeper as well and we will be flying.
