Twitter has exploded this "rumour" and now everyone thinks it's happening. I will wait for it to appear on the Beeb or Sky Sports, until then I call bullshit.
 
For people saying we are being used, dont you think it's strange that his agent would choose us as the club to use to force other clubs to stump up an offer? we're a very random choice if that is the case however
 
To be perfectly honest its 11 at night, the only person who released details was this Sky Sports chap in Italy, obviously very well known with transfers over there. Nothing will be released to the media in the UK till 2moro morning.

Southampton are a premier league club with alot of money, the ideal club to pick if the Agent wants to worry other "potential" buyers who will feel they can offer more (ex: Europa League or Champions League football)

It is very easy to get carried away, even I have a little bit but you can tell by the other clubs reactions what it would be to actually pull this off.

Like you said - no UK media outlet currently reporting this.

You can understand some people getting worked up over it, it would be a quality signing.

Sadly it just won't happen, and we're being "used" by the player's agent to force the hand of Liverpool and Spurs.
 
Well at least the period where there were no transfer rumours for Saints is well and truly in the past now!
