    I think we will break our £4m record. £4m by and large buys less now than what it did when we bought Delap, so I can see it happening.

    Lewis was receiving rave reviews a few years ago but has lost his way, however maybe that is because he doesn't fit in with Fergie and having the Peterborough defence ahead of you is going to drain your confidence.

    James Chester from Hull would be a great signing IMO. He's only 23, and I'd imagine that he wouldn't cost any more than around £3m. Leicester are interested but Hull refuse to do business with them after the whole Pearson saga. Won't be long before other Premier League clubs come in for him - top, top player.

    :D No the James Chester I spoke to is the one who plays for Hull. I also just remembered that we were linked to him a couple of years ago on loan when he was still at Man Utd and he apparently was thrilled at the idea at the time.

    We've been getting some coverage on Sky Sports this morning with Adkins, McMenemy and Fonte. Adkins says he is already working on improving squad, but we won't get players in or pay over the odds just because we've been promoted. Fonte was eulogising about Adkins saying how methodical and organised he is and added that all training has a purpose. McMenemy was talking about how important financial stability is for the club and also highly praised Adkins.

    Don't get the hype around Joe Lewis, he only seems to be good at saving penalties. Mind you, on a free you can't really go wrong.

    That when we buy a player now we will look for a certain type of player that can fit in well.

    This is Football Manager where you buy all the five star potential players... <ok>


    You need players that will make an instant impact.
