Just watched it or at least the first half which was as much as I could manage. I hope he gets his frontal lobotomy reversed before he gets on the pitch.

A lot of people are saying this but when he signed for Chelsea he was in the last year of his contract so they got the most they could at the time

He is and that physicality is something we've been missing for years. I often thought when looking at both teams that all our players look about a foot smaller than theirs, and if they are tall like O'Shea then they're slow and weak. Seems we're moving on from that.
 
Steven Pienaar remains on trial at Sunderland - but the club won't be signing Charles N'Zogbia. N'Zogbia has been on trial since the start of pre-season but David Moyes won't be adding him to his squad on a permanent basis. The midfielder made just two appearances for relegated Aston Villa last season as he wound down the final months of his estimated £50,000-a-week wages at Villa Park. He failed to do enough during his pre-season friendly appearances to win a deal at the Stadium of Light. Assistant manager Paul Bracewell confirmed N'Zogbia won't be joining Sunderland but said former Everton midfielder Pienaar remains on trial.
