Maybe there's more happening behind the scenes than we call realise and it's taking longer because were after too quality players
I smell bullshit........ But he would be the perfect signing for us. I said that back when he signed for Villa.
Sunderland still remain confident of re-signing Yann M'Vila, as the wait for fresh faces continues. Reports today have claimed that Sunderland are finally on the verge of landing last season's loanee M'Vila after several weeks of talks with Russian club Rubin Kazan. It was understood last week that Sunderland had made a breakthrough in the discussions with Kazan, yet David Moyes claimed on Monday that the Black Cats were still looking at other options. However, the Echo understands that Sunderland do expect M'Vila to return to the Stadium of Light before the transfer window shuts after the French midfielder was a target for Moyes at former club Everton. Sunderland have been linked with a couple of strikers today, with a move for Anderlecht's Italian international Stefano Okaka far more feasible than Liverpool's Christian Benteke.
West Brom's bid to sign West Ham's Diafra Sakho falls through Hmmm......interesting. EDIT : He'll not be fit for the start of the season apparently, although he has not failed a medical. Which means we can cross him off our list as well I suppose! I bet West Ham wish they accepted our supposed £11 million offer now!
West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho is in demand, with his proposed move to West Brom under threat due to late interest from Sunderland, HITC report. The Senegalese centre forward is being tipped to leave the Hammers this summer after a souring of his relationship with Salven Bilic and the club. Sakho felt affronted after being left out of the West Ham team to face Arsenal late last season and the furore over the London club’s efforts to sign a new striker this summer have seen him ostracised. West Brom are believed to have and a £15 million offer for the African attacker accepted by West Ham, with talk that the attacker was to undergo a medical at the Hawthorns. However, Sunderland are ready to challenge the Baggies for Sakho’s services and could give the forward another potential option over his new destination. Sam Allardyce’s exit from the Stadium of Light was said to have ended Sunderland’s interest in the West Ham star, but the Wearside club could well reenter the fray under David Moyes.
Oh aye, Allardyces departure significantly reduced the chances of us getting him, but he still may have been a possibility......not now though. Unless........If West Ham want to sell him in this window I expect they have to suffer a big reduction in his fee! Hence why we might suddenly become interested again, the tight bastards that we are!
Swansea City have agreed a fee with Sevilla for striker Fernando Llorente and personal terms with the Spain international. The 31-year-old has two years left on his contract with the La Liga side and is due to have a medical on Friday. "It has come a long way with Swansea to reach an agreement," said Sevilla sporting director Monchi. Swans chairman Huw Jenkins has said he expects to announce at least one new signing in the"next few days". Jenkins has previously said the Welsh club want at least two new strikers after the summer departures of forwards Alberto Paloschi, Eder and Bafetimbi Gomis. A tall and powerful target man with seven goals in 24 appearances for Spain, Llorente would be a significant signing for the Premier League side. He rose to prominence with Athletic Bilbao and joined Juventus in 2013, spending two years in Italy before moving back to Spain with Sevilla. Llorente scored seven goals in 36 appearances in all competitions last season. Swansea have also enquired about Premier League champions Leicester City's Argentine strikerLeonardo Ulloa.
Tottenham senior quartet Clinton N’Jie, Nabil Bentaleb, DeAndre Yedlin and Nacer Chadli could be heading for the exit door after being omitted from the squad for Friday’s friendly against Inter Milan. Mauricio Pochettino dropped a major hint about the futures of the four by not selecting them in his 24-man squad for the trip to Oslo. Wasnt Chadli once a rumour on this forum last year?
