Swansea will move to re-sign Joe Allen from Liverpool this summer, setting up a potential reunion with Brendan Rodgers. The Reds want upwards of £10m for the 26-year-old midfielder, who left the Liberty Stadium for Merseyside in a £15m deal four years ago, report the Daily Mail.

Since the Joe's comfort blanket (Brendan) was sacked he has deffo improved as a player and is battling hard to establish himself as a first choice starter.
If however he does end up back at the Liberty I wish him all the best for the future.

It dont surprise me one bit with Gyfi as he is a journey man anyway. he don't have any allegiance and love for the club like some of his team mates but he would always do his best and we cant ask anymore than that.....Good luck to him when he goes....
I want Joe allen to return to take over from leon so we can build the team around him from scratch....
The first thing before anything else is sort the managers position out and i hope we don't extend Guildo's stay here as he is definitely not the right one for us to move forward with and will do better in his native country...

I would fear for us if he does go, (which I wouldn't blame him), he is our only guaranteed source of goals this year and possibly next season, no guarantees that any new signings will get goals. Jesus one of the only few we want to keep and looks like he will be off.

Slightly off the subject but did any one see the list for player of the year in The Post, ****ING Neil Taylor is in there, that's how bad a season it has been.

Give me strength!!!

We should try for a few players who will be relegated like Redmond of Norwich. There must be a few tasty players among 3 relegated teams that have a bit of quality in them.....im off out now so i will look at which players if any are good enough for us.....but Redmond is certainly one of those who has potential...imo

He is not worth that much dragon. £10m would be a good deal for us.....Gyfi is one of these players that don't care what team he plays for just as long as the wages are right, He will always try his best whoever he plays for and is known in the football circles as a journey man that will play for anyone who offers the best deal.....Nobody will buy a journey man anywhere near £18m...

"Gyfi is one of these players that don't care what team he plays for just as long as the wages are right" Like 90% of the team. Like 90% of footballers with a limited shelf life anywhere. You've been around long enough to know that the only loyalty in football tends to come from the fans.....and not all of them either. There is nothing unusual or wrong with footballers following the money imo.

You insist on calling Siggy a 'journeyman' but he's not really. Like most other players he's played elsewhere. Excluding loans he's only played for four clubs. I don't think that makes him a journeyman but others may disagree. I always see journeymen as those that stay for short periods at clubs then flit from club to club on short term contracts, particularly later in their careers, just so long as they get a pay packet. Nothing wrong in that but I don't think Gylfi fits that bill. Just my opinion.

We mug Newcastle £12 million for Jonjo, Liverpool pay £15 million for Joe, £25 million for Lallana and Lovren and you think Gylfi is only worth £10 million? <laugh>

I suppose it is just lucky that we had that 'Journeyman' in our squad this year otherwise we would be playing in the championship next season. He is far better than a so called journeyman and Dortmunds supposed interest in him proves it.

I will be gutted if we lose him, he would not be easy to replace as he fits us perfectly.

I'd go as far as saying he's damn near impossible to replace imo.

Of course he is a journeyman, He has never stayed anywhere long enough to fulfill his contract...4 clubs about to be 5 plus the numerous loan clubs indicate he is what fans call a journeyman...

Speechless a 26 year old journey man who is wanted by the second side in the Bundesliga. Yeh of course he is.

I wish our team this year had been filled with journeymen like him, we certainly would have been further up the league.
