http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-city-lining-up-5-11150295 Formed a decent partnership with Ash for Wales. £2-4 million tops though imo.
Gotta love this guys name . Looks like we are putting in an offer and fighting to land Torino right back Davide Zappacosta . Brighton are also interested . Getting 300,000 £ from ManCity for them reaching the quarter finals of Champions League with Bony , with 1,000,000 coming in if Man City make the final , might help pay for our next transfer . Bony : The gift that keeps on giving .
Naughton is a pretty good player imo and the better bet between him a Rangel for sure. I'm mystified too why he hasn't got more game time, especially recently when Rangel seemed to be costing us almost every time he touched the ball. What's odd about him is that he is a better in attacker than he is defender, but he just doesn't have any speed to be an out and out winger. Anyway, he's the best we've got at RB Imo and I can see him being no.1 next year, unless of course Zappacosta shows up. If he does roof, I bet we call him Frank.
I like and think Naughton should be given the rest of the season at right back to make it his own .Its not that I don't want Naughton to play right back , I just know and accept they won't play him there I'm a little peturbed at the Tabanou , Eder , Naughton , Montero , ( Britton and Routledge till Monk left ) total absence from play at times . Seems to be all or none attitude of the staff toward playing and not playing players at times , losing out on the fluency that players entering and exiting the team each week can bring You get to see more possibilities also .
Please , don't remind me . Wish we would have kept Jazz in the utility role .Not sure of the reasoning on that one
I rate Jazz always have, what Huw was smoking when letting him go and bringing in Tabanau only he knows.......
Was expecting something along these lines ... Everton want to bring Ashley Willams to the club next season . Not sure if Williams would go for this but if a club a bit higher in stature was to show interest , I think our captain may finally bite .
In the Daily Mail again. This has been in this junk newspaper, that he is going to one club or another, every season since we won the play off final.
I think it is different this season . Williams probably had his best season this year ( a good thing or we might be closer to an exit from the league if he hadn't ). He and some good teams will know how good a season he had and might finally test the waters . Also , when Monk benched Fernandez in his last 3 games in charge , their were rumours of Fernandez wanting out ... Hope that problem soothed itself . As far as I'm concerned , there isn't a pair of CB's in the League , playing on the same team , that I would take in trade for whom we have , if we can hold onto them would be superb but we must be prepared for all scenarios .
Ash wants to end his career with us so i cant see him going anywhere now. We will be shipping out a number of players though and with the sale of some of them plus the £30-£50m the yanks have promised then we will have a tidy sum for new players........Bit of a concern if Brendan is manager with his record of spending on duds at Liverpool though but that was Liverpool i suppose and he wont get that sort of funds here and should do better.....
Eder since he went to Lille on loan : 9 games , 5 goals and 3 assists . I think whoever is in charge this summer should give Eder another look .
I would fear for us if he does go, (which I wouldn't blame him), he is our only guaranteed source of goals this year and possibly next season, no guarantees that any new signings will get goals. Jesus one of the only few we want to keep and looks like he will be off. Slightly off the subject but did any one see the list for player of the year in The Post, ****ING Neil Taylor is in there, that's how bad a season it has been.
