I remember when he was 1st linked I was totally against it (think a few of us were) but i just feel the fit might be perfect both ways.

He is the type of player I think our fans will love n he seems the type that will be buzzing to have this opportunity to play for us
Same. I heard some terrible things from Hull end. We’ve all had our moments though and he seems to have got his head straight so fair play to him. I really hope he turns it round.

The most positive thing is he is still only 24, and if he can keep his head screwed on and learn from his mistakes and doesn't relapse we have a great player on our hands. I only wish a lot of other footballers did the same. I remember watching a documentary about Man Utd youngsters and some were very very talented and didn't make it and were moved on becasue of their attitudes, I'm sure Ravel Morrison was one of them.

This speaks volumes.

"Sir Alex Ferguson told West Ham United manager, Sam Allardyce of Morrison, "A brilliant footballer. Brilliant ability. Top class ability. Needs to get away from Manchester and start a new life"

Morrison was the best talent they had according to a lot of former united players, including Rooney. An absolute waste

Well he looked feisty and fast for the u21s,, I know its only the U21s, but he wont be up to full speed yet, lets hope we can reverse the curse and he scores against Hull
My prediction Wayne, Connolly will either thank Luke O'Nien for saving his career or they will end up scrapping on the changing room floor :emoticon-0102-bigsm

The difference from an elite footballer and a very good player or decent pro is often mentality. You can train, play and be an unbelievable young one but it must be a complete head **** getting the money and adulation and dealing witg big crowds at such a young age. It's hard to prepare for that and many go the wrong way. This is a great interview and I really wish him well

It could even be Chris Byrne here in 97/98, another great talent wasted in the wrong company , similar to Sean Thornton .
Christ, that's a blast from the past. I'd forgotten about him. Looked really promising when we signed him. We got rid within a season if I remember right and he did time for burglary after we got rid.

All credit to Connolly for his complete honesty in that interview. It can't have been easy for him.

He has definitely signed for the only club that can help him to resurrect his career. We have a very good reputation for getting the best out of players who have lost their way.

Best of luck to him. I hope he goes on to score a hat full of goals and signs a long term contract at the end of the season.

Cheikou Kouyate signing for Leeds

That’ll be a decent signing at this level. Versatile with loads of experience

Not sure if this has been spoken about so apologies if it has.

What are peoples thought on it. Personally I think it would be a good signing on and off the field. He’s been an elite player and was a trusted captain by one of the best managers of our generation in Klopp. Reports are suggesting that his ‘legs have gone’ but what he would bring in experience to our younger lads cannot be under estimated.
