I can live with us taking the Clarke money and not immediately spending it, considering that we're top of the league and players like Mundle and Mayenda are looking very promising. We've also brought in an experienced CF in Isidor to play up top and the likes of Watson and Poveda to make a breakthrough out wide.

It's always disappointing when we don't produce a rabbit out of the hat but the Clarke money will be spent just not right now.

And therein lies the problem.

Every head coach is telling him they need a focal point in the system, but he seems intent on us not having one.

I don’t know what his problem is with central strikers, but he needs to snap the **** out of it.

He has said it many times in fan meets, press interviews. Honestly, not sure how long people need to wait.

Notice how we regularly bid for them on deadline day, and it fails. Then we say at least we tried.

We’ll probably put a £10m bid in for Mbappe next deadline day. “Oh well. We tried.”

Pathetic man.

Birmingham know they can spend what they want on transfer fees this season without being penalised so they’re building a squad good enough to come up and do something in the championship. The only rule they have to follow in L1 is wages can’t be over 60% of their turnover iirc.

Birmingham have paid 20 million pounds for jay ****ing stansfield

Deals like this can have a massive effect on the transfer market too, inflating prices for bang average players.

Massively overpriced.
