honestly this sounds a bit OTT but that’s not good enough. Fans are getting up early to go and support the lads. Posting something on twitter takes minutes.
My guess is they were waiting to sign a forward to be the first announcement.
Mayenda and Wilson might do the job of competent centre forward, the team at the club might believe that. I'm just not ready to write players or the recruitment team or the promising start to the season off.
When pretty average players are going to League One for £10m it's no bastard wonder they are the hardest position to fill.
Ridiculous money.
Looks like Watson is the backup option then and the club is sticking with the youth. Really poor not to get another striker mind, after doing some decent business elsewhere. Just got to hope RLB can keep developing Mayenda, and Wilson is a better than we hope.
You can imagine clubs and agents looking at that and putting extra digits on fees, loan fees and wages.

the Jack Clarke sale sat fine with me. We had 8 days to sign players. I’ve heard links since then for wingers and strikers and I was optimistic today we got 5 maybe even 6 through the door by the end of the window.
we needed two strikers this window. Hemir isn’t good enough he’s gone. Rusyn isn’t going to cut it in England unfortunately but is now 3rd choice unless he’s gone and I don’t know about it. Mayenda looks good but at 19 isn’t ready yet and would benefit learning of players. In a couple years could be a big part for us
this is where Wilson comes in. He looks the part. Tidy centre forward and his profile is perfect for what we need. All is looking good. We need one more incase of a Wilson injury and to provide competition.
Speakman has once again failed to deliver a permanent striker that is ready to play football.
please do not come at me with the bamba bids. That’s RLB mate. That stinks of desperation on deadline day if RLB wanted him that bad we wouldn’t be throwing 10 million GBP at him now.
what happens if Isidor struggles first season? Or if he gets injured?
