I did hear they expected some others to move on and it didn't happen.

Pissed off massively. It's the same as last year. Literally zero experience and quality in the 9.
****s sake. They need to stop hedging their bets. We have an actual billionaire in charge and we are letting deals slide because we can't get 10k off the wage bill? Pathetic and small time

Not your fault lad, you take and offer up the info in good faith but with no promises, I'm happy with the lads coming in but it's been such a failure now for many windows to not bring in the right CF for the club, especially now RLB has come in and stamped a real identity with a high press, what an opportunity missed.

Nah I am feeling it. The info was good earlier and I really thought it would happen this time. Once again, nope. Same issue under speakman for 3 years. Literally not signed a single, effective striker ever.

Stewart was a Johnson signing as speakman stated btw

Setting aside our drama as it’s our fault for leaving it so late. How **** is this for Fofana? Won’t get a look in at Chelsea.

shouldn't have taken the info at face value. I should have went with my gut, and that shows that speakman can not sign a striker who we own. Think it's 3 years now.

Massive opportunity missed. The other signings, I don't really care that much. They won't start immediately. We needed a 9 that was championship ready.

Sold out best player for 20m guaranteed and spent peanuts.

What a kick in the balls.

Sorry guys.
We signed 3 last summer and that's a bigger problem than what everyone focuses on. Signing strikers isn't a problem, signing quality clearly is. Quality of recruitment is the problem
Got to hope Isidore stays fit otherwise there's ridiculous pressure on Mayenda

Sustainability. That's it. Won't budge.

55 pages for me to catch up on. I best be happy after those…
What a rollercoaster that was.

Effectively went from “Very happy. Going to be some quality brought in.” to “This club is ****. Speakman out.”

I think it’s horrific that no other senior striker was brought in today to help Mayenda & Isidor (let’s face it - Rusyn isn’t up to scratch). They can spin the “we tried” line as many times as they like. They had plenty of time to sort it out and didn’t.

You can say “we’re top of the league though”. It’s 3 games. 3. We could well be mid table by end of the next month. Way too early to get overly positive.

You can say “we have January coming up”. That’s 4 months away. 4 months of playing a fair amount of games with a lot of pressure on Isidor & Mayenda.

I tell you what’s really frustrating as well. The thing that really annoys me. We are 1 other striker away from it being a very good window in my opinion. Mepham, Samed & the young Serb are very good signings. Very good. But the lack of another striker is just too much of a risk for me to be really happy.

I hope we find ourselves in a strong position come January, I really do.

Onto tomorrow. Haway lads!

Little sly jabs at concerned fans isn't warranted. Speakman will know himself he's failed. We didn't even sign a replacement for Clarke man.

Hopefully Tommy Watson is given plenty of opportunities this season.

Feel for Isidor, the more brainless of our fans will not give the lad a chance. Hopefully he hits the ground running.

I’d assume every fanbase in the country feels there teams short in areas, fully trying to tell myself everything’s okay, feel flat as **** really thought we’d nail it this window but ah well, £18m to try again in Jan I suppose, get these lads announced so we can look forward to tomorrow

Isn't that a rtg type of comment?

Tees was right...
We are top of the league

Not allowed an opinion on here though mate. In the mean time we sell Clarke for 15m and Birmingham sign one of our main targets for 10m a league below us,
Hull sell a much lesser player in Philogene for exactly what we got for Clarke to Villa, but of course we have a plan and nobody is allowed opinions anymore, right or wrong

Rooting for the lad. He’s our Clarke replacement AND our striker. Big shoes to fill.

20m in sales and 1.7m spent.

Not ambitious.
