Would say out main deadline target not coming and only finding out because he was on the bench for his current club, to come off the bench and score two is the most Sunderland like deadline pain we would ever have.

Then remembered about the Mexican striker that literally got shot in the head hours before he was due to fly.

If I was a conspiracy theorist I’d think the three signings are being held back on announcing as late as possible so that it “sends fans home happy” at the end. Rather than announce early in the evening and then nothing. I do think the club are that media savvy now.
