I was just thinking the same thing. Plenty of names getting thrown about but all in the air.

Hopefully it doesn't happen until after the deadline, a late announcement.
That will piss off all the right people

New contracts cost money, Brownes on good money. It’s not all about the transfer fees. Judge at the end of the window, remember there are 2 windows though. We are one of the few that can go and spend money on the right players if they are available.

I already am. Not like me tbh. Wilson, for me, is a hopeful one, a bit like Poveda. Personally not hanging my expectations on either, just hopeful they can play a good part. A main striker is still missing imo. Like most I am hoping we get Simic done. That would represent the club doing the right thing by the position. 48 hours to go though, a hiccup now and it isnt a lot of time to get something meaningful done, and we dont seem to do panic signings, so it would be Mayenda and Wilson and some crossed fingers. It would be a shame because I think the club are doing some brilliant business this summer, but without that main striker I worry we fall short of where we could be.

As an aside, and to show myself up perhaps, I really dont rate that Chiesa who has gone to Liverpool. Bit of a deal for deal sake with them I think due to their window to date. Dont see him as a first team player their at all.

Only fair mate. If they somehow didn't match the expectations of the fans, then they wouldn't match their own expectations and we'll have likely left the window with a profit, which isn't bad, but we are showing ambition right now.

I won’t argue that but again, it’s something that can be judged at the end of the window.
