Anyone get the feeling we aren't even after Cannon?
Think using FBREF without the context of the team the player is in is a fundamentally flawed way of judging a player. Go look at Rodri on there, you'd think he was an attacking midfielder based on his percentiles. Not sure on class. He might be at this level.

last season vs top 5 leagues. Nothing special.

Vs ligue 1 midfielders the season he played 33 times and finished 2nd
there’s nothing stand out. But that is a higher level of opposition

Of course they don’t mate.Stats don’t tell the whole story though mate, I’ve genuinely watched him.
We seem to have properly stepped up the quality in targets
Really intrigued to see how he gets on, when Italy won the Euros i thought he was class. A bit of an old school winger, attacking at pace n could go inside or out to beat a man£10m + £2.5m in add ons for Chiesa
Absolute bargain if he produces the levels we’ve seen in the past
I’m all for quality players coming over to the PL.
Comfortable in any forward position too, isn’t he? I think that versatility will be huge to Liverpool who should go deep in most competitions.Really intrigued to see how he gets on, when Italy won the Euros i thought he was class. Watched him a few times since and hes been shocking for club n country. Seems to have lost some confidence, having said that i think its a cracking deal for Liverpool
If he reaches his potential he will be a bargin, if he flops theyve hardly spent anything on him
Don't believe your there and you've looked up that picture just so you can post on here.Just in Whitby for a few days and taking this as a sign we are going to announce a new player today. Also the alleyway appears to be named after RTG

Yep, i like that hes not going to be a starter straight away as well. I think he will be a cracking impact sub for them, the pressure is off hin and thats why i like this deal. Its a low risk high reward deal imoComfortable in any forward position too, isn’t he? I think that versatility will be huge to Liverpool who should go deep in most competitions.
It’s a long season. We need 5/6 quality midfielders to get us through gamesTrying to think of where this lad could start as he is a DM and we have Neil there, maybe RLB wants to be able to rotate often and maintain the quality in the midfield?
Neil, Jobe, Browne, Rigg, Samed (?) Great options to have in midfield
I said a couple of days ago (probably 100 pages on here) that we're building for the premier league not for only for promotion. It's ridiculous doing what Ipswich are doing right now, much better to build properly now and shape the team
If we get Mendy/cannon, simic and samed in now, it will be a massive statement of intent.
If we do go up this year, then we would obviously still need reinforcement next summer, but if we can limit that to max 4 or 5 players instead of a whole team (Ipswich) then all the better.
Unless one of these are away!Trying to think of where this lad could start as he is a DM and we have Neil there, maybe RLB wants to be able to rotate often and maintain the quality in the midfield?
