Held back from saying this but you can't dangle Simic and Cannon in front of me and then end up with just Mendy. I think he'll be alright for us but the others are superior players.

Feel horrible about it but I've gone right off the idea of Mendy. Not sure if it's just boredom at the protracted pursuit or his several comes and get me pleas, or bigger and more exciting names being mentioned but it all just feels a bit sad and desperate.

They might be,that's not certain,but their age alone renders them more like our sort of buy.It may be that any interest we have in them has cooled our interest in Mendy.It might not just be Caen who are stalling this deal.
Their pedigree, data, playing style and yes things like resale value all, for me, make Simic and Cannon better purchases for the club.
If he comes, I want one of the other two as well.
The fact we haven't heard of our bid being rejected suggests to me we are negotiating mind (regarding cannon)
I still think hes a brilliant option. A player in the habit of scoring goals and the experience and nous to go with it.
I think that may well depend on whether RLB thinks he can get a tune out of Mayenda,and/or Rusyn. If he does,we may well end up with just one acquisition up front.
Personally,I'd like to see two come in.

Me too! An afternoon in the Dun Cow will do him no harm at all.
Leicester would be silly to accept our bid now when a bidding war could start the closer the deadline gets, although I hope they do accept it.
2 days to go but this Mendy , Simic and Cannon stuff is good news . Why ? There's no links elsewhere with the same players. We keep a tight ship these days but all clubs don't. Let's be positive.
