Was going to do a separate thread but since I told you all in this one about being invited to the game with my wife and my son for his first game I thought I’d just put it in here. (Sorry admin)

not long got home, bairn is absolutely wiped out but we had the most amazing day, Chris Waters is absolutely amazing as we all know, went above and beyond.

Met the mascots in the fanzone, bought him a scarf from the club shop which we’ve struggled to take off him since I first put it on him outside the shop.

entered through the reception, straight to the padded seats which was a lovely suprise. Chris popped out and gave us an envelope with a poster in signed by all the players, told us to enjoy the game then he would see us at full time.

Absolutely loved the game, sang and danced for most of it had to put his IPad headphones on because that new sound system I can only assume has been lifted from Space in Ibiza when it closed and has been strapped to the roof of our stadium.

He lost interest for half of the game, but that’s expected given he’s only four but never once asked to go home etc, even better giving the result as I feared we’d get pumped today so elated that his first game was a win, and a great one at that.

full time went, we stayed to soak in the last of the atmosphere while the crowds cleared and then Chris came to find us, who asked us to come to reception with him, so we did.

Guided to a little roped area inside reception next to the oil painting and got given a ball and marker to get signed by the players, so spent a good hour there talking and taking photos (more so for me) me and our lass have both fell madly in love with Dennis Cirkin too, what a beautiful specimen he is.
So pleased for you all! I said we’d win for the little fella!

Gutted to see Clarke go but always expected it. More sad he hasn’t thanked the club and more importantly the fans for the support

I hope you realise what you’ve done now. The poor kids gonna be hooked forever like the rest of us after that introduction. He’ll think it’s like that every week! .

really pleased to see his beaming grin. Well played mate. He’ll remember this day forever as his first game.

Here is his message mate.

Nice that, seems like it came from him and wasn't filtered by anyone. I always liked Clarke as a person he comes across as a normal unassuming Yorkshire lad.

I'll always remember the Christmas video the club put out where they were playing charades and he was probably the worst person to ever attempt the game. Wish him well.

About 2:40 for Clarke's effort, funny stuff:
