If scarlett does come he will get my full support, whether i agree or not with the signing. The 2 things hes got going for him is hes a good finisher (i know some will point to his loan record but he is a clean striker of the ball when shooting) and hes good at pressing

I was just making a point of it seems the club are only looking at young signings at the minute.

Of course I said a few posts ago I appreciate completely things may be kept quite well for it.

But I can only talk about stuff I know / have heard

I do hope there’s one in the wings somewhere

The club think they need two strikers. One young loan and one experienced permanent. They know, we know, everyone knows the experienced permanent is the most important signing the football club will need this summer.

In fact striker is the only position we are absolutely desperate for. So the fact the majority of the striker links are youth players show to me that it’s worrying and we may not be in for an experienced one at the moment

Sorry - your post read as fact that you think it’s a joke that the club are prioritising a loan signing, simply because that’s the one story that’s leaked. It was a silly statement and it’s being met with derision.

You’re right to be worried. But your original statement was OTT. You can of course be entitled to an opinion but using words like “joke” and telling the club they need to change their priorities purely based off a flawed argument is going to get sarcastic responses and I make no apology for it :D

It’s defo a worry mate considering how we hear nothing about the senior one it’s a very valid worry to have and is natural

Probably worded badly but my view of it being a joke is that it seems as if they’re prioritising the wrong position.

Of course something could be not revealed etc but I didn’t mean it as fact more of what I can see atm

Position as in the young striker position rather than the senior one

Most do, personally I’m more bothered about quality than age and experience. I dare say if we got Mainoo last season some would have said ‘bloody kids, no experience’ or ‘would rather have Amad’

Just another thought on Scarlett, I think we’d actually be a terrible loan for him. He clearly needs to be starting games.

So whilst I don’t want him here, I actually think he shouldn’t want to come either!!! Get into league one and play regularly lad.

Exactly what happened to him at Ipswich

He may improve year on year with consistent game time
