I notice Hemir, Bennette and Matete didn’t play for the under 21s last night despite the club saying they’d be with them from now on. Perhaps all three are now even excluded from that until they get new clubs
I reckon matete n Jewi are close to moves away
Surely theres loans for a couple of the other lads or this simply blocks their development
It's more likely me mate, what I say makes perfect sense in me heed
What I'm saying is that some clubs just pay that £1m extra, give the player/agent a few more thousand extra and another year on the contract. That's irrelevant if you manage to scrape into the PL TV money but sign a dozen like that then fail and it can suddenly come back to bite you on both cheeks.
Sunderland used to be like that and we'd end up with players we hated, worth a fraction of what we'd paid and sitting in the reserves raking it in ...
... clubs, players and agents looked at us as a soft touch and laughed at us.
I feel like we're becoming untouchable now, we buy and sell on our terms these days.

Initial thoughts about Ugbo was someone playing the link to get things moving on our side with speeding up caen to do a deal for Mandy or for Troyes to accept a bid from Sheffield Wednesday, so didn’t give it much thought but seeing Michael Walker say the interest is genuine from our side is interesting.

I’m not that enthused about Ugbo. Not sure he brings us what we need, which is the off the ball stuff that strikers do. He’d definitely be an asset as a poacher in the box, but how many chances do our strikers actually miss?
the problem is we don’t create chances for strikers, partly because we don’t have strikers making the right runs or holding the ball up properly. I don’t think Ugbo is that guy.

From what I've seen posted on here, I think I'd prefer Mendy to Ugbo. I know the sell on with Ugbo is possible, but the way Mendy plays I think would suit us better in the short term. From what I've seen he plays with his back to goal, and on receiving the ball is quick to get it to the wingers, and then get in the box and hope for a return pass.. Ugbo just seems a poacher and dosen't offer as much
