When are the lads back from Spain? Just wondering if and how Poveda and Mendy can get involved in training.

Just a gut feeling but I think Clarke might go in the next week or so. The Ipswich link seems pretty firm and they don't seem the kind to mess about once they land on a player. They missed out on Philogene and I think Clarke was their next stop.

I reckon they'll go back and forth on offers and it will happen "behind closed doors" and then we'll suddenly find out we've accepted an offer.
Be a shame to see him go but it’s been expected for so long I don’t think it’ll feel like the kick in the balls it should, excited to see what we do with the cash

If he is off hopefully it's sooner rather than later so we can get a replacement in. Like you say though it is a shame.

An out and out DM is still needed for me. I don't think we will get one as they will shoehorn Browne there but I would rather him play a little higher with Neil and a new DM in that slot.

I'd agree that we lack that profile of player but I guess it also depends on whether we play that kind of way. LB might prefer two "8s" and a "10", rather than a "6".

Agreed I just don't think they will though. We, imo, defo need a partner for Ballard, it's got to be a priority

Wonder if they'll be in for Norwood still or like you said try and stick Browne in there.

Just thinking there when Sheff Wed played us they had a back 3 with wing backs. They’ve already signed Jamal Lowe who can be play on the right aswell as Jan Valery who also plays down right and then the bloke who played there all season for them last year.. where would poveda even fit in unless as just a squad player?
They played a back 4 for a lot of the season under Rohl, Poveda starts for them as a right winger - theyve been really keen to sign him plus he has interest in Europe

He is an exciting player, who needs to kick on now and i think we could get the best out of him. He fits the high paced football we seem to be wanting to play under le bris

Think i saw him 6 times towards the end of the season, 1 of the games he was pretty poor imo but it was against Leicester. The other 5 he was good, i think it was the game against birmingham where he was unplayable - was a joy to watch

Aye he absolutely suits the two touch quick transitional play RLB seems to be focusing on. Can see him dovetailing with Rigg and Neil so nicely.

I'm excited now!

Browne was saying how comfortable he is playing DM. Doesn't sound like he sees it as 'shoehorning'. Maybe you know better than the player himself.
