His quotes tonight remind me of Darren Bent’s rant when he wanted to join us.
Not being a misery, but I would be quite staggered if it was from him directly.
As a general rule agents control the comms during tfr negotiations. His must be spitting feathers with this quote. It is why I am not convinced at all it is his words.
I wouldnt normally but the fact he’s essentially on strike from his club might mean he’s a bit looser with the media than otherwise

I just think it’s obvious the club are going to say he’s one of a number of options. It’s a pretty stock response. I read absolutely nothing into it. It’s what I’d expect the club to say right up to the moment he’s in the country having his medical.
I agree. Also another thing whether it’s his agent or him. There’s no ****ing way he writes every single interested club off but us if he wasn’t confident and that’s what his quotes would have done tonight

Can’t really say it’s done if the deal isn’t completely agreed, would be publicly admitting we’ve tapped him up essentially. It’s most likely that it is sorted in principle with a few tweaks and subject to medical I reckon. The club never admit to interest in anyone.
I doubt he’s the only CF we sign. I think Mayenda is probably going to be 3rd choice, Hemir will likely be loaned out and I’m not convinced Rusyn will still be here either. Mendy looks like the experienced option, I suspect we’ll look for a more long term signing too.
