I know, I tried to ignore that, awful take @WorkyTicketFTM

Maybe. Maybe not. Our fans think all of our best Xl are future Real Madrid players and they’re just not, as proven over the last two seasons. This coming season we’re expecting a play off push if we’re lucky, why aren’t we aiming to piss the league if these boys are as good as some make them out to be?

He may well see the top flight in France as a better advert of his abilities to Prem clubs. Assuming we aren't batting away Premier League offers, he may see a season in Ligue 1 as a chance to prove himself at a higher level

For a York lad, must be nice to see having Huggins and Clarke on the books?

I must say, outside of the north east, i feel most affinity with Yorkshire, especially the A1 corridor towns which I would include York in.

Huggins needs to play a few games before I get too excited about him but yeah for sure, I probably went to more games at Bootham Crescent at that point than I did to Roker Park/SoL.

Full of great places North Yorkshire. There's very little over here like York town centre, or whitby, or Tan Hill etc

Can't say I feel any affinity to its counterparts in the south, west, or east.

Having a Dreyfus family member here plus Le Bris gives us an edge in these negotiations imo.
Apparently a Saudi club are interested too. At his age, I can see him opting for the Saudi money but hopefully he wants to give England a go first. Pleased to see the club going for proven goal scorers though.

I think someone like him with maybe a Scott Twine coming in, would be a great bit of business. If an opportunity arises later to acquire a Broadhead or Stewart on loan, I’d jump at that too, both have had injury struggles so the other two would still get more than enough game time.

I think we should hear soon on Mendy's choice. He hasn't travelled with his squad and his exit is described as (I know) "imminent"

York’s nice apart from all the pi55ed idiots from the races and hen parties. Makes me sound like a right grumpy old bloke!

Worth noting Ballard and his GF or Wife just recently had a baby (around the Southampton game) so could be just a family related matter

Also for that reason I'd be more inclined to believe a rumour of him joining a Prem team rather than Lens
