Fair play to them but let's not pretend there's not a decent amount of luck involved in almost any promotion. They took a big gamble and, fortunately for them, it paid off.
It's a bit like someone betting their entire life savings on black at the roulette table and winning. Congrats to them but it was risky as hell, and not a good template for others to follow, imo.
