He was excellent against our 21s back in December (when we lined up with first teamers). Constant threat. I was thinking at the time he may be on the clubs radar in the future…

Never seen Mubama play but feel a bit unsure signing another untested striker.

Think he may be a better bet than the youngsters we signed last summer. At least he's played in this country before and has been in and around the West Ham First team.

Would be happy if we signed another main striker alongside him then we could send Hemir and Mayenda out on loan.

All just depends on other signings really. We as a club can't expect Mubama to be a 15+ goal striker straight away and Mubama himself doesn't need the pressure of being the main man at this stage of his career.

If, as people are suggesting, Rusyn is sold and Hemir and Mayenda get loaned I am more than happy with Mubama as backup. Can't be the main man though.

I love the fact Mubama is triggering certain people who are adamant because Mayenda and Hemir aren't it, that also means he ain't it.

The judgement of these young players baffles me. I can see why someone would say Hemir is poor, but Mayenda. It shows a lack of knowledge.

Yeah I agree. Saying we shouldn't sign a player because we signed a completely different player from a completely different country but they are a similar age is just silly. Good players come from anywhere and everywhere.

I wonder what they miss out on in life because they are so dismissive :emoticon-0181-fubar

A lot of them are just young lads who don't understand or don't have empathy for scenarios. I feel like I was like that before.

Some will shoot me down, the fact remains;
Aye, we need experience and top quality players for our level, but that doesn't mean you dismiss a lad who's considered a very good young prospect for West Ham.

I've said it before, if he comes in, I'd like to see how we deal with Rusyn, Hemir and Mayenda. Let's say Rusyn leaves on a perm and Hemir both on loan, I'd love us to go and get a couple of strikers who we can rely on ability wise.

To be clear I’m not dismissing Mubama. Just struggling to get excited by him the way I would have done this time last year.

He’s much better positioned than any of the striker signings we made last summer and I’m not against signing him at all. It’s just hard to get excited about it.

If we got rid of most of our strikers and brought in a new main man in addition to Mubama, that I’d be very happy with.

Ive watched mubama a few times and last couple games hes really failed to impress me. From what i saw he isnt ready to lead the line in the championship.

He is better than hemir n mayenda though and he has the potential but i would only want him if we sign a quality cf who can contribute immediately

This is what I'm expecting to be honest. Burstow back to Chelsea, Rusyn away permanently and Mayenda on loan again.

Hemir, Mubama and 1 with more first team experience is what I'm expecting.

I would hope for something like that at least

Anyone know what Theo Bair is like for Motherwell? I've seen him nab a few goals in the second half of this season.

I’d be gutted to lose him but not at all surprised. Should’ve been in the side sooner and isn’t he currently playing out of position? Not a chance is he a wide man imo. Get him in the 10, would help if we had a proper centre forward to play off mind. I couldn’t complain at all if he left. Dodds was talking ****e about Sunderland being the best place for his development.
I don't agree with this one bit. He was in an around the team as a 15 year old ffs and has been dipped in and out of the team appropriately getting minutes under his belt and playing, learning his trade at first team level. He's still developing physically so you have to be careful and we are looking after him.

Big athletic runner type, not sure if he's good enough to beat Championship defenders like, it would certainly be a risk to bring him in.
Spot on with this - hes got the physicality but his movement is poor and the difference in standard between the SPL and the championship is massive these days
