500k to improve on the 3 strikers already here, i'd do it. Bring Mendy in too and would be a canny strike force
How many pro games has he played at 26? I know we’re desperate but I’d be wary about signings like this one, huge jump from st Johnstone to Sunderland, not a dig just a hell of a risk

These are the sorts of risks I actually dont mind. He has only been in this country a couple of years, prior to that Gambia. In Gambia played for their top team.

Quite regular that lads come to non league and reach out for trials and they get them lower than they should. They train and coaches fall over themselves. A few games and word is out and they jump a couple of levels. If they keep overperforming then at some point the risk is worth taking.

I enjoy watching non league. I see young lads play at say step 4 and it takes 45 mins to see they are going much higher. I remember watching a young Che Adams and said to a coach I was with he will have a good professional career. Other coach agreed. Players at that level exist. Often late developers who didnt get into an academy but who with a bit of a punt could be a very goos player.

He’s done well at st Johnstone and sometimes grabbing a player who’s quickly on the up has a brilliant knock on affect

thoughts on this one @Scout73
Not for me, not watched him loads but the step up is massive - he would be better with a L1 move or going abroad possibly

I havent been that impressed with him when i have seen him

League winners for me. Squad is utterly outrageous.
Will all depend on Hamer staying imo, i think their starting line could be good but still worry about depth in some areas and i dont think Wilder will have them playing at their best

Also depends how all the players click, thats always the issue when signing loads of players

Hamer stays and i reckon theyll finish top 2, i think hes the best player in the league n i dont think its close atm

Just shows the absolute gulf to the premier league presently, they were annihilated last season, my two good mates who have blades season tickets hated every minute of it, wished they’d never got promoted, they were so outclassed, and now they’re odds on top two.

Tbf they've got a better side now than they did last season.

I’ve become climatized to our transfer buisness being done later in the window, still gets me tetchy.

Give me something to work with please I beg.
