Lots of positives at the moment - Rigg and Bellingham happy to stay.
Browne a very solid signing and a leader which was a necessity - our central midfield is looking very healthy imo.
Club seemingly don't need to sell anyone unless they get an exceptional offer so some things are being done right. Optimism is trickling back.

I can't believe I've done that.
I've liked one of your posts.
Either you need to go for a lie down, or I do

Which we may yet do this window.

I don’t understand people hailing this signing as showing the start of a brave new dawn, with a change in direction and approach from the club and ‘the model’ being dumped or flexed or whatever you want to call it.

Although different players, in terms of squad profile and make up, Browne is just replacing Dack/Evans.

There’s no grand change in approach evidenced as yet. That’s not a criticism of the club as I’m all in for what they’re doing.
Both crocks and never fit, Browne is a big upgrade on Evans, liked Evans but he only really had one good run of form and fitness in his time here. Moore is also more experienced than Bishop who moved out and the signing of Rigg is also a big swing in direction, few years ago he would be gone for as much as we could sell him for. I would say thats the start of a change of approach.

Not since KLD's takeover.

Yeah agree with this. Browne is certainly an upgrade on what we had but it's no different to Speakman signing Batth/Pritch/Evans while in League One, excellent players for the level on a free. It's just good business.

I hope we do still sign a few younger players just hopefully more logic behind the signings than a few of the ones over the last few seasons.

Tbh with the word getting out that we were gonna be focusing on experience this summer, I don't think browne is a case of just signing someone on a free to do a job like evans, and batth etc. This lad is quality and had a few suitors. Also, he slots straight into the starting XI

As did they, them 3 weren't exactly just brought in to do a job either they were excellent signings, as is Browne.

This isn't new.

As it stands I think we’ve now got a decent 11 if Jobe plays CF. A flexible 433.
Patterson
Hume. Ballard. O’Nien. Cirkin

Neil. Browne. Ekwah

Roberts. Jobe. Clarke

Room to improve but not an awful basis to start with.
Ekwah has a lot to make up for from last season and he certainly wouldn't be a guaranteed starter for me. You could say the same for Roberts. I'd be disappointed if we start the season with Jobe up front and O9 as 1st choice CB
