If this week we sign two players and Rigg gets a new deal, the club are really on it.

 

Excited to see how rigg does next season, hopefully in his correct position. Just hope we don’t burn him out and rotate him around

If they're really that keen on him, I'd be insisting that a loan for Rak-Sakhi has to be part of any deal. He'll be explosive at this level.

 

That Fab Romano mentioned he’s one of Palace’s top targets so I assume so?

 

Yes they are, heard theyve been in talks with the club but dont think a fee is agreed

Sounds like we will be wanting over 20 million for him

 

My worry about him leaving is that if him and Clarke go, similar to the season before, we’ve lost all of our goals. It becomes a necessity for us to sign some proven goalscorers.

 

Rightly so.

One big positive since KLD took over is we don’t seem to be bullied when it comes to player valuations anymore.

Show us the money or do one.

 

We would be armed with a lot more money tho, the key would be if they are leaving to get the deals done quickly - that way we have the money to strengthen n still time in the window to do it

 

and that's been easier to do now that we're not just a team full of players at the end of their careers, who've come to Sunderland for one last payday.

 

Would be disappointed to lose both Clarke and Jobe but glad to see we aren’t jumping to accept the first bids that come in for them and standing firm.

 

It's how the model works for the first few years unfortunately.

The more we squeeze out of these deals though, the shorter that stage will be.

Amen to that, get Rigg tied down and its another bit of good news / business. Couple of signings this week would really get the juices flowing

It's going to be a good week, I can feel it in my bones , 2 days later Clarke and Job are sold...

 

Thing is if we have to sell Clarke and Jobe to fund the next round of signings and strengthen the Team and squad in 3 or 4 places then thats for the good of the club.

£35 to £40 million from the sale of those two players gives us a hell of a fund for players

 

I fear losing Jobe more than Clarke, with Jobe his value will rise much more than Clarke will.

 

Been a while since we had a transfer ‘war chest’

 

Oh yeah be a hell of a transfer kitty, the worry would be it being spent correctly on the right players
