JEWI MADE "BAD DECISION"

Jewison Bennette has admitted that heading out to Greece on loan was a mistake, featuring just twice since January for Aris. He is now training with his former side Herediano in Costa Rica to keep fit ahead of a potential national team call-up.

BAD DECISION
"It was quite a complicated year, I made bad decisions, going to a club that broke my contract in every way. My agent recommended me to go there, he told me not to talk to anyone, it was a bad decision I made, but I’m learning."

LEFT OUT OF THE TEAM
"When I came to Aris I played two games and after that they had to pay my salary, house and car, I complained to Sunderland and they [Aris] were upset about that, then they started to put me aside and left me off the list, in the end I had a small injury that left me out of La Sele’s [Costa Rica’s national team] games."

FOCUS ON SUNDERLAND
"I made a bad decision and it’s a learning experience for me, not to make hasty decisions and now to concentrate on my team to give my best. On loan would be a league that is very strict on the issue of wages, that there are no arrears, in Greece there are arrears of wages, the others have a great career, but one who is young is saving, I have projects."

He’s got a cracking job this fella <laugh>

Does he get a PL winners medal if he doesn’t play a minute?

Edit - I thought this was a stupid question but the page I’d clicked reckons he had 0 PL titles! He defo does get a medal though just checked a different one

As far as I’m aware, yes <laugh> He’s laughing all the way to the bank.

Great work if you can get it.

Salarysport had him on £28,000 last season, down from £38,000 for the previous two seasons. Can't blame him at all, Man City are minted and he is providing them with experienced cover, I can't hate him for it.

Just looked Carson up, he's played 1 game for city in 5 years. What's that all about.

Would they not have been better off filling the third choice keeper role with a young prospect, they must be overflowing with them.

I think he probably has a quasi-mentor role for the younger keepers there, he'll maybe even go into a coaching role when he's done playing, also Citeh are absolutely minted, an extra 30k on the wage bill is a drop in the bucket for them really, all of that and he is offering them genuine experience as their number 3, or 4 or whatever he is.

It's lavish, but makes sense to me.

I thought that but I'd rather spend a bit more on a quality coach and free up the spot for a young keeper who has the potential to make money for the club. He's been a bang average keeper all his career, I don't know why City hired him in the first place.

If he's that valuable as a coach then train him up and hire him as such.

I’m with @alcoauth on this one. Believe it makes sense for all parties.

I don't see the point, if he's a great coach get him on the coaching staff it's not like he has a practical purpose he doesn't play for them. City would be well advised to look at ways to save money considering the FFP pickle they're in.

Still no retained list from QPR?

Quite a few confident Chris Willock will sign here on a free.

I'd assume he's basically a coach who is registered to play in case of absolute emergency at this point.

I get that but he's neither a coach or someone you could rely on at an elite level. There's no indication he's got anything to do with coaching.

If he's that awesome a character to have around then hire him as a hype man or something, I don't see how he justifies his place in the squad over the young talent they must have.

Wasn't Paul Mcshane contracted to the United as a player a couple of years ago?

Just assume, as you say, they offer something pretty large as they are never going to get minutes on the pitch.
