I don't think there's any possible explanation that would make sense, so on that basis I assume it's an error on the web page.

It also doesn't make sense that Bora Aydınlık appears on the U21 list, because the EFL rules are explicit that all loan players regardless of age have to be named on the main 25-man squad list.

I've never known such a long drawn out saga, even when the player has allegedly signed. Very odd

Loads of teams have buy-backs so it wont be a co-ownership issue unless they've ballsed up the wording

I’m with you Ernie. What a bloody drama! I’m normally a glass half full person but this feels jinxed. I hope and I’m sure I’m wrong but I just hope we see a good player do well after all of this.

It's his birth name. It's common for people from Muslim nations to shorten their names when moving to more Westernised nations.
