No problem at all with discussing. It’s mostly blubbering and complaining. We should be grateful, we could be Southend or some other club that has been left to rot.

We could be, but we aren't. We have an owner who says he wants promotion. Hence the expectations ( rightly so ) are that signings would be ones that could/should achieve that. I'm just not seeing it unfortunately. But I'll but extremely happy to be wrong

what a ridiculous statement, you’re sat on a niche message board reading all the comments made. If there’s anywhere to have these discussions it’s here. Outside of the message board it doesn’t have a massive impact on life what so ever aside from maybe changing the fortunes of a Saturday afternoon. There’s all sorts of people on this board some of which (from what I gather) lead successful happy lives, not a massive issue showing a bit of passion towards a hobby that serves as an outlet. If you’re truly uninterested in the signings then don’t come on the thread, no bother whatsoever.
I am interested. I’m happy to judge them once they have played some competitive football. There’s pages questioning the quality of what we’ve signed or not signed, when nobody has even seen them play.

As much as anything else, the Longman deal sums up how far we've come in the last few months. He was starting a lot for us last season and most fans agreed he wasn't good enough. Now he's so surplus here thanks to the players we've brought in, that we can offload him, and to illustrate how strong our squad is, it turns out Millwall, another club who just missed out on the playoffs, actually want him in their squad.
So an almost-playoff side thinks that our no longer needed castoff can improve them. What does that say about the level of our attacking options now?

I don't see it that way at all.

Totally agree with AY saying "I would have kept him here and would much rather see him play out wide over the likes of Tufan, Traore or Slater. Specially if the full backs are Coyle and Greaves. But he needs to play." Rosenior has clearly had his favourites whom he would rather play out wide out of position instead of playing specialists in those roles.
Where exactly are the players we've brought in that give us this strong squad that allows us to release Longman? We might end up with Philogene (IF it's concluded) and Lokilo, other than that it looks like we will continue with square pegs in round holes as we don't have the depth (and that's also IF Rosenior selects Lokilo out wide ahead of players who aren't really wingers).
Him moving could equally illustrate that Millwall, who as you say just missed out on playoffs, see the value in Longman. Hope he does well at Millwall; seems like a good lad with potential that we should have been developing imo, even if it was as a back up for now.

Stop crying, mate.

I can't wait for the first "why are we strengthening a Championship rival?" post.

fair enough that’s a more balanced response which explains your thoughts better. Makes sense need to reserve our judgement.
