Cardiff fan? There will be some on here who will bite your head off for suggesting any of our new signings are crap. From what I've heard, Allsop is a crap shot-stopper with T-Rex arms but quite good with his feet and playing out from the back.

Thats right. Hes good with the ball at his feet. Its just everything else you want from a keeper hes not good at in particular shot stopping. Hes one of the reasons we almost got relegated.

Fair enough. Our current keeper Ingram is a very good shot-stopper. Not as good with his feet but in his defence, unless a keeper learns to play out from the back throughout their years in the academy, it’s a huge learning curve. He’s getting better at it though.

Personally, if I had to choose, I’d rather a keeper who is good at saving over one that’s good with his feet but couldn’t save a Word document. Ideally, we would’ve signed one good, or at least competent, at both but it seems Rosenior settled on Allsop after exhausting all other options.

Is Buckley a #10? Unless I’m thinking of that Rothwell who used to play for them and joined Bournemouth.

Former Iceland midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has returned to football on a one-year contract with Danish top-flight side Lyngby Boldklub.

The 33-year-old, who scored 67 goals in 318 Premier League appearances, has been a free agent since leaving Everton when his contract expired in 2022.

I thought he was the mystery Premier League player who was facing serious criminal charges?

Absolutely and I think it's important to point out that with transfers, doubly especially on deadline day, things change very quickly. I posted a list the other day of what we would see if everything went to plan, and by the end of the day I'd found out that the deal had been held up while some final bullshit was sorted (which turned out to be Ipswich sticking their noses in.). Sometimes the landscape can change quicker than people can type (or sign a contract), the best transfers happen behind closed doors and make fans go "where the **** did that come from?"
Baz has come under a bit of flack for his "it's habbening!!" stories, but the poor sod can only go off what he's told/allowed to post up, if he's told "we expect it today, just got to sign this and we'll announce it, crack on", then he's going to post it. He's a journalist at the end of the day, part of his job is to get people to read the thing he's written so that his company makes money, which needs to sound exciting and exclusive.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if we signed more than three tomorrow, like LR said in his interview, players can become available that you wouldn't think were and if they improve you, even in areas you aren't targeting, you take them.

For example, we might go in for target man Andi Zeqiri. He was all set to move to Metz, but then decided not to and is still at Brighton. Birmingham want him, so do other clubs in Europe. With Davis now not coming, it's a potential forward option that wasn't available two days ago. As a result of this, Metz now want Oscar, which would mean we would definitely need another striker. When Bob closes a door...
