Well to some extent he definitely is fishing for clicks and being the first to break the news. That's his job! I doubt he's doing it without permission though, he could've done it weeks ago if he wasn't bothered about upsetting City, so he must've got a green light. Presumably, this is part of the arrangement - you keep it quiet for us all summer and we'll let you break it as an exclusive when the time comes.
The funny thing is, people have mentioned Philogene's name all summer, but we all talked ourselves into believing he was impossible.
If Baz has gone off-piste and it doesn't happen he could be in deep ****.

Who was your guess, out of interest? Philogene would be some signing, especially permanently.

Someone pointed out on twitter that Ryan Allsop is from Birmingham so probably what the 2nd city clue was.
I have to say I have not heard of this Philogene player, but judging by the responses Im guessing it's a bloody good signing. Well done city if it gets over the line
