I wonder did the good result and performance on Saturday reduce the heat sufficiently for Rosie such that he has downgraded his announcement of incredible great things to come shortly.

You're all miles away, the 'Alfred' is actor Alfred Molina which of course leads us to Nahuel Molina who apparently is keen to visit the Deep and sample Humber Street as he is fed up of Madrid.

His end product got better but in his early days he was just a pace merchant who couldn’t cross and didn’t have a good footballing brain. I don’t know how true it is but there’s a story that he was going to be picked for the 2010 World Cup squad but was left out because when England played their friendlies before the tournament, Walcott just couldn’t hit a single accurate cross in training or in the games for Peter Crouch to get onto and Capello left him out.

People got their hopes up for Walcott because he had his breakout season at such a young age. When you compare Saka to Walcott, you can see just how average and limited Walcott was. He wasn’t **** but he was never a great player. Nathan Redmond is/was a better footballer than Walcott imo.

Some of that is fair but the Redmond comparison is wacky. Walcott had a successful career at a top PL club for years and was an England regular. Redmond at his peak was a bottom end PL player.

Looks like Michael Olise is off to Chelsea. He was already injured but that might make Palace even less prepared to let Rak-Sakyi leave.

I knew the Redmond thing would be controversial but I do think Redmond was a better footballer. Nowhere near as successful but I still think ability-wise, he was better than Walcott imo.

Townsend agreed a deal with Burnley and was about to sign, when right at the last minute, they took the offer off the table.
Kompany had agreed a deal with him but said it was dependent on them not getting other targets, which they obviously did.
Kompany also really sang his praises, said he was fit and would be an asset to teams wanting a winger. Would be a great signing.

Another player who can smash them in from outside the box.

Never understood why alot more players don't try smashing them in, for every 3 or 4 rugby punts you do if one goes in people forget the rest.

It’s what I used to like about Stephen Hunt. He would attempt the long shot often and it would lead to at least a keeper save, which would result it rebounding in a dangerous area or a corner.

I think that’s what makes Twine quite a threat just for presence alone. In and around the box defenders will pull out of tackles more for the sake of not giving away a free kick as he’s that good at them they’re like penalties in a slight way to him. Frees up more space for attackers etc. Same with Tufan now, they’ll be aware of his threat and press him more outside the area, leaving gaps for us to exploit
