Wondering who this highly-rated winger is we’ve bid for permanently. We’ve heard about Twine, Bird and we’ve been linked with several keepers.

The way Rosenior and Baz are talking about him it sounds like he must be very good, but then I don't really see how anyone any more proven than Twine could possibly be coming here. It's certainly an intriguing one.

England captain Harry Kane made his Bayern Munich debut as they lost 3-0 to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.

Just hours after completing his £86m move from Tottenham, the striker started on the bench and came on in the 64th minute to a huge cheer at the Allianz Arena.

Nor for "the lawyers and the conveyancing" that apparently takes a week :emoticon-0105-wink: Haven't they had to deal with lawyers or the EPL? Maybe they don't bother with that stuff in Germany (even though Spurs are an English club)?

From the translation I think he was the man of the match last night

I watched the highlights considering he has not played much you can see he will definately get more game time after that performance, he was everywhere and he is fast got good control,he gets in the box from all areas and he also hit the post he has a very good game, be interesting to see if he gets alot more game time how he comes on and maybe we could see him back here in jan if he is able to carry on like this.

Assuming we get Twine and this winger, it's going to be interesting to see how Rosenior fits in Tufan, Traore and Twine (the 3 t's). Unlikely Traore will continue out of position out wide with a new winger coming in and now Lokilo looks like he's getting up to speed, and Vaughan in the 'wings' (see what I did there?).
We need another really good, pacey winger for sure, but I'd say a keeper and DCM'er and maybe even another quality defender should be the priorities after that (meaning rather than another no 10).
Sinik also to come back in. Looking again at his pedigree, he's obviously a player. Hopefully he settles this time and stays fit.
Just to clarify, I'm not saying I / we don't want Twine. Just not sure why, nor how he'll fit players in. Nice problems I guess. But who's going to be offloaded to get this smaller squad? I'd actually keep Longman as a back up winger / utility for another season.

As i said above about Celi he is fast good ball control and would be a good fit on the wing, issue is really in south american football they have alot more space in the game for players to show stuff it is not full on like the championship and perhaps that is why the club thinks he needs more time myself i don't think he would look out of place from bits i have seen.

Not sure what plans they have for him as we hear very little of him but i hope we get the chance to see him here and take a chance like Brighton do, the club could have unearthed a little gem there.

It’s a good question. Unless I’ve missed something, there aren’t any publicly known takers for Woods. Longman’s obviously back and, unlike Woods, seemingly still in and around the match day squad. Other than that you would think it will be about getting some of the younger players a decent loan.

Interestingly, Woods is listed as number 15 here (and looking thrilled to be there): https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/teams/ even though he was missed off the list and graphics here: https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/news/2022/july/202223-squad-numbers-confirmed/

I’d doubt it means much but does it potentially leave the door open to a return if we can’t move him on or is it merely a technicality?

I watch alot of south american football as that is my main area for football bets i do so i get to watch it on 365 alot late at night and honestly for the 70 minutes he was on it was a great performance especially as he has had so few minutes he looked fit as anything.

I didn't say it takes a week. Just said theoretically that a contract would be binding from when it is signed, not necessarily when the registration is finally transferred and the media press kit is finalised and the club eventually announce it.

That could take a week, depending on the clubs, efls and the lawyers priorities and it could be quicker if there's a specific deadline involved.

But if you'd rather believe that the club delay announcements for ****s and giggles and to wind you up and no other reason than you're just banging a drum for the sake of it.

Nice way to interpret an analogy literally to cling to an argument though.
