If this is a fair reflection of our financial situation, and not transfer gamesmanship from the owner, you can only conclude that we have been poorly managed in such a fundamental area.
Selling the squad players – fine. Selling Oscar/Ally for profit – (begrudgingly) fine too they are their signings from last season and it could be good business etc.
But if bringing in Sinik, Tufan, Woods et al. leads to selling a prized a local asset in Greaves just a year later, for a fee that may well end up below comparable market value, is surely terrible business. Which would be compounded further if that money was then squandered on a Sinik type gamble.
I’m a supporter of Acun and the board. But given the above, and the sale of another local asset in KLP for X millions already, concerns are fairly raised in reaction to Acun’s words in the article.
