If we play 3 at the back it makes the need to sign an experienced CB (maybe even 2) even more of a priority. I'd rather us concentrate on signing the wingers that can fit into a system Rosie has already been working on.
Of course, I don't know any more than you do, but I'm still going to pretty confidently state we're not going to play 3 at the back. Rosenior has a system and a style that he's decided on, and there's doesn't seem to be any likelihood he's going to change it for the odd game.

Just seems like it would suit the squad as it currently stands.

If Sinik stays and can actually play a part this season, we’ve got Sinik, Allahyar, Longman and Vaughan as wingers. We’d probably only need one more, ideally a left-footer.

I’ve been really impressed with Vaughan. I don’t know if anyone else noticed against Galatasaray but his first touch was brilliant, almost Fodenesque. Think he’ll be an important player this season. If he can bulk up a bit and provide goals and assists on a consistent basis, he has the potential to be as good as KLP if not better. Rosenior’s an inexperienced manager and will make mistakes from time to time but putting Vaughan straight into the first team has been one of his best judgement calls and cancels out Ebiowei imo.
Agree with the post, it’s funny however mentioning him being Fodenesque and then saying bulking up. I think if he bulked up he’d lose his agility and nimbleness on the ball. He needs to watch the likes of Foden, Silva etc who have nowt on them but use their body incredibly well so they can utilise their best skills

Fair enough. Upper-body strength is important though. Sterling had great upper-body strength for his size and didn’t loose his agility because of it.

Stoke have signed Ben Pearson permanently from Bournemouth. Good signing that. We’re crying out for a midfielder like that to compliment our current midfield.

Oh for sure, he’ll be great for winning free kicks in and around good areas because of his size mind. Only 19 so no rush to bulk up IMO his game is about being clever rather than dynamic. If as he grows he adds that, his technical ability will see him explode at this level

Whilst the enthusiasm for Vaughan is great and we hope he that he continues to develop to describe him as Fodenesque is laughable. He is a young lad with tonnes to learn with potential.

I find how so many posters on here purposefully misinterpret and misquote others for a cheap dig laughable.

I said his first touch was “almost Fodenesque” because of his technique. Nothing more.

And people throw a paddy when me and Syd put them on ignore because we won’t give them the attention they desperately crave.

I didn't misinterpret.

I didn't misinterpret.

Well, you did, because you intentionally omitted the part where I specifically said his first touch, not his overall abilities, were almost Fodenesque.

If I said he was as good as Foden or even had the potential to be as good as Foden, you might’ve had a point. But I didn’t say that so you don’t have a point.

Its stupid comments like that, that put pressure on players and peoples expectation. Put me on ignore please.... believe me I dont crave anyone's attention.
