I will be sad to see Oscar and Greaves go. What I don't understand is why we signed so many high earners (last year) if it gave us ongoing FFP problems.

Just hope the mistakes they made when we allegedly had FFP advantages aren't too costly going forward. It's hard enough to get out of the Championship as it is without blowing any advantage you might have over others. It's clear that Acun and Tan thought they could come in. Spend a bit of dosh on some european larkers with some quality and turn it around. With an experienced Championship manager from the off it may have been slightly better.
It wasn't helped by the fact that the first half of the season was so intense to compensate for an early world cup and injuries set in. Not to mention our now best players from the last window took half the season to get fit or get going.
The good thing is they've clearly learnt from their mistakes and are not plunging us further into it. They're being as open as they can about it with us to probably set some expectations even though the large majority are only just clocking on.

I'm not saying he is the answer. And for sure we need to bring in a quality LB. Perhaps Fleming might get the chance as the back up, equivalent of Coyle to Christie.no idea where you’re getting it from that Fleming is the answer. Wasn’t up to scratch at Oxford no chance is he anywhere near good enough for a top half champ side.
I’d love to pop to Malaga on that to see my daughter and kids, wonder how much it is to hire itYou must log in or register to see media

newspaper O Jogo features a story about this transfer today, they bring a few more details on the negotiations.
It’s claimed that Vinagre is indeed ‘on his way’ to Hull City, as the transfer is ‘very close’ to being confirmed.
The Tigers are reportedly signing the fullback on a loan deal, and will have an option to buy him for €15m next summer.
The player was not in Sporting’s plans for the new season, and wasn’t even called up by manager Ruben Amorim for the squad presentation this weekend.
O Jogo says that since he didn’t receive any offers from the Premier League this time, then he decided to move to the Championship by signing for Hull City.
Vinagre previously played in English football when representing Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
10m for 50% and its 15m like it was for Everton if they wanted him.Find that hard to believe, they payed 10m and his stock has dropped dramatically.

Maybe they added two noughts accidentally, whistle whistle…Find that hard to believe, they payed 10m and his stock has dropped dramatically.
If Ehab and McCann were still running things and we sold Óscar and replaced him with Clarke-Harris, there would be absolute uproar and rightfully so.
Neither have a lot of the Derby side, he’s achieved more than the entirety of the side as a player whom he coached so if that’s their take on him I’m not surprised they finished outside the play off spots. When he was appointed I posted something along the lines of 'players at Derby felt he talks too much'.
My mate is an agent with a player there. They didn't really like him, thought he had too much to say for an unproven manager and lost a lot of them quickly.
He has done nothing. We finished near the bottom of the table. The time to keep quiet and get your business done is now.
JCH is the English Oscar. Does **** all outside the boxHis goal contributions per minute is only slightly worse than Oscar's in the Champ and he was in a really poor side.
If we sell Oscar and bring in a replacement, a winger and a midfielder to replace him, I don't think anyone would complain regardless of the regime.
You're making out like JCH was a flop at our level
If players based their opinions on what a manager achieved as a player Frank Lampard would be one of the most popular managers in the Country.Neither have a lot of the Derby side, he’s achieved more than the entirety of the side as a player whom he coached so if that’s their take on him I’m not surprised they finished outside the play off spots.

It doesn't work like that.
Shota was a very good player. Not sure the City squad gave a knack about what he did with his boots on.
