I don’t want to overdo the ITK bollocks and the abuse that goes with it, but I was out yesterday with a club legend I hadn’t met before and someone else who if I namedropped most people would agree was likely to be ITK (who I know a bit better), and when talk turned to matters City they spoke about both Oscar and Greaves as if they’d already gone. Just to get my defence in early I presume both deals are ongoing and could still fall through, but I wouldn’t be getting my hopes up on that being the front three…

If Óscar goes I would hope we get a striker of similar calibre or better in addition to Tetteh and Delap.

If Oscar goes I’d be happy with Connolly. I think between him, Tetteh and Delap we’d have a bit of everything

Connolly was injured for most the time we had him, as was Tetteh.

I think it would be incredibly risky to go with those 2 and a youngster who's not kid the ground running in senior football yet

Absolutely. I broadly let them get on with it and just listened, but felt a slightly pathetic warm glow when they asked me how I thought the season would go then both agreed passionately when I said it all hinged on what business took place over the next few weeks.

Yeah don't disagree, just going off exposed form which is all we have to go off. He could show he's the goalscorer he was at junior level in which case I'll be stoked.
No one knows how he’ll turn out
Remember George hirst?
Akpom took bloody years and it’s still only at championship level
Fingers crossed he does well for us

Clarke Harris is the like for like for Oscar if he goes.

We'd probably be able to sign him and Max Bird for the wages Oscar is on.

I'm a big JCH fan, he's a complete twat, spends half the time on the floor, and is generally horrible to play against. Oh and the boy can score

This is my biggest issue with Rosenior. I like his ambition and the fact he has a clear playing style. He seems like a good motivator and his man-management seems positive. However, he’s something of a bullshit artist and probably a bit naive due to his inexperience. Managers make mistakes. I don’t know why some City fans think Rosenior is immune to making them and that we should trust his judgement all of the time. He got the Ebiowei situation all wrong. Put all his eggs in one basket with that kid in January despite his attitude problems not being a secret.

Trust but verify. When Rosenior says he wants robust players in before pre-season begins but is bringing in sick notes, it will set alarm bells ringing over what he says and what he intends to do.
When he was appointed I posted something along the lines of 'players at Derby felt he talks too much'.
My mate is an agent with a player there. They didn't really like him, thought he had too much to say for an unproven manager and lost a lot of them quickly.

He has done nothing. We finished near the bottom of the table. The time to keep quiet and get your business done is now.

Really good signing, if not a little over priced. Will help out Coventry though, given their financial woes in recent years.
I agree overpayed because he had only one year left but he was the coach most desired signing for the season.

That says more about the players at Derby and maybe sheds some light on the reason they find themselves in the position they’re in.

Don't shoot the messenger.
I'd also suggest there are far more deep rooted issues there that have caused the decline than the players thinking the manager should shurrup and prove himself.

Maybe, but they clearly thought they were too good for him and the league they're in yet they're there for a second season in a row.

Seems odd they turned on him given he built a large chunk of that squad after they got gutted
