I’m pretty sure they thought he’d be a useful addition and didn’t pay millions just to buy someone a housemate.
I agree hindsight is weighing heavy here. Still feels like crappy business nonetheless given the fee
He still has resale value.
It’s a nonsense to be honest, we have to sell two of our most valuable players to finance incomings due to FFP yet the parachute clubs can go absolutely mad and vastly increase their squad strength meanwhile with this approach we can only slightly strengthen year on year whilst having to hang on to a lot of players without any value to make up the numbers. Our owner actively wants to invest and can’t.
Nearly 4,000 replies to this thread now and still not a sniff of an incoming signing. Hopefully after tomorrow things start to get more serious.
Is it like the summer Bruce was sacked or left - team photo was a bit light !

How was Shota under qualified? I doubt he was willing more acun just didn’t listenThink the difference this year will be that we've got a manager in who knows what he wants and will be working with Acun to make it happen rather than only having different ways of saying yes as his opinion.
Always felt with shota he was:
A) vastly underqualified and the squad knew it
B) basically willing to just let Acun get whoever he wanted in and he'd try and make it work
I think with Rosie there's a bit more respect for the manager position all round and he'll have a say in a lot more behind the scenes without letting Acun just play 'let's make a soccer team'
(fantastic game)

And he’s learned the lesson
Hopefully
he was more experienced than our current gaffa!
Letting Oscar go is a fantastic move because it only happens if LR has made it clear that he won't be his first choice striker. We can't afford to have a high earner sat on the bench and whatever transfer value he does have also evaporates by sitting on the bench.
Yep, it’s complete bollocks. The whole system is wrong
